Last night I had a crazy potluck dinner dream.

SalvadorDali showed up with some delicious soft clocks.

Mea West brought burned paella …I  think she was trying to impress Dali with her  Catalonian cooking,

Amadeo Modigliani, brought wine and passed outdrunk on the table half way through his soft clock.

Thanks God Bill Cosby brought the Rocky Road ice cream, otherwise it would’ve been a complete disaster.

Next time I’m inviting Julia Child so I don’t have to worry about the damn menu.

Who do you guys think I should invite next time?

Anyway, as I said, I do listen and  so far I have been mostly interested in audiobooks about murder , sociopaths and drug addiction,..not sure why, but I do feel qualified to solve a murder, spot a sociopath and tell you that there is nothing you can do to stop your friend from their drinking or heavy drug usage.

I have decided to change the genre completely and  I am beginning to listen to”Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert. So far so good, I was worried that since this book was endorsed by Oprah, it could be  the next “The Secret”, that I couldn’t finish even listening to. Horrible! Horrible! It felt like it was the same message rewritten 5 000 time ….Stupid! I am all for a positive thinking, even though being from the Eastern Europe, I’m just as fine with being negative and sarcastic.

Hmmm “Eat, Pray, Love”….lovely book. I’m still on the first chapter titled “Eat”, actually I’m about 15 min. into the book, so all I know so far, is that it will be probably about eating, so I do…I eat a lot. Yesterday I took my friend for her birthday to Bastide Restaurant in Los Angeles for lunch. The weather was perfect to put on my summer dress and meet the birthday girl in the beautiful garden of the Bastide. My friend Chef Joseph Mahon, was kind enough to cook for us, and what a treat that was. After verifying that we didn’t have any food allergies, he surprised us with a 5 course delicious meal from Potato Soup with Watercress Custard, Bacon, Lemon Oil through an amazing Champagne Artichoke Risotto, Smoked Salmon Salad, Parmesan to Salmon with Beluga Lentils, Snap Peas and Port Wine Sauce.

I sneaked this picture yesterday during the photo shoot. Roeshera has the most amazing face. Velvety skin and amazing almond shaped eyes. The makeup artist in me can’t help, but to love her eyelids, oh… those big, firm, flat and long eyelids….gorgeous!

The real photographer on this shoot was www.2ndchakrastudio.com, and she took absolutely amazing pictures of Roeshera and I was just doing her makeup. You can actually see my work a lot better on chakra’s pictures.
